Max was
born in Huntington, Indiana on July 11, 1952. He
obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical
Engineering from Purdue University in 1973, a
Masters of Science degree in Electrical
Engineering from Purdue in 1975, and thereafter
worked for the Department of Defense as an
Electronics Engineer for over twenty years. His
employment with the DoD involved him in the design
approval and testing of avionics, navigational and
terminal guidance systems, communications, and
control systems. While he was employed with DoD, he
commercially designed software for production
control and test systems; and he served as an
adjunct faculty member, teaching calculus, physics,
electronics and drafting. Max obtained his Doctor of
Jurisprudence degree from Indiana University at
Indianapolis, Indiana.
