Ronald was born in Huntingburg, Indiana on September 21, 1956.  He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Indiana State University Evansville (now University of Southern Indiana) and thereafter worked for ALCOA as an engineer/technologist for approximately two years, for Indiana Tube Corporation as a consulting engineer over a two year period, as an instructor and Electronics Program Chair for Indiana Vocational Technical College for a total of three years, and as an adjunct professor of digital electronics for the University of Southern Indiana.  As an engineer, his responsibilities included the development and design of control systems for industrial applications.  As an educator, his responsibilities included teaching digital electronics and control systems courses.  He obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Indiana University at Indianapolis, Indiana, has served as both outside and in-house counsel, including a position as an in-house Intellectual Property Senior Attorney for Lexmark International, Inc.  Ronald has appeared before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Patent law including opinions (patentability, [in]validity and [non]infringement) and associated searches, applications, prosecution, design-around consultation, licensing and development agreements.  Trademark and copyright law including searches, opinions, applications, prosecution and licensing.  Trade secret law.  Patent trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation.  Employment and confidentiality agreements.
